(A quick note here, I've added these synopsis for people to go back and remind themselves about what happened or if people come in later and don't want to start at the beginning, they can read these really fast, but they are not a replacement for watching our videos as they are not full descriptions. If you don't want to video, you will miss most of the comedy and all of the fighting as I am not going to do a play by play of each attack. So, please check out our videos)
Day 2 10/18/2023
Episode 2
Isle of Zerutan
Kav summons a mug, walks behind the bar, and places down two silver pieces, and pours himself a drink. He sits down to drink, and Casper comes to sit with him and the two talk. Outside, Mist and Gwyneira catch up. Kav stands up and says he’s gonna go find the cat. Casper decides to follow. We sit outside and chat, making plans for the future. Kav conjures up a small bag of sand to throw in the air and test Casper’s skills as he wants to come with us. Casper pulls out the Redeemer, his rifle, to aim and shoot, waiting for the bag of sand to reach its apex. Kav is pleased with his throw, and just as the bag is about to stop falling, the bag explodes, obliterated by Casper’s gun.
We sit down as a group and talk about the closest pillars that we know about, picking which location to go to first, thinking of heading toward the nearest one. We then remember, Kav and Mist, that they were looking for Tamako and Rasshak, and that they should look around and try to find them. We decide to head back into town and look around. Gywneira notices that both Kav and Mist are looking for something, but Casper only notices the big dog is looking for something. Kav and Mist end up at the front of the longhouse where the scent is strongest, and notice that the scent emanates from there. This is the only space that the bird occupied here. Kav also picks up Rasshak’s scent, and he can tell that he went into the longhouse and came out. It’s a safe assumption that the elder phoenix has flown away. Kav gets on top of the longhouse, and can tell there may be some places that they could hide. Kav picks Mist up and chucks Mist 340 ft in the air to try to get a visual. Mist loses sight of the island in the low cloud cover. When he gets back below the clouds, he is slightly damp but dries quickly. He sees the island below, but doesn’t see the elder phoenix. He does realize, though, that we would have to thoroughly search the mountains to make sure they aren’t hiding there. They could also hide any number of places, so Mist doesn’t think there is a way they can confirm or deny whether they are here. As Mist looks around, he doesn’t see anything in the sky. Mist puts his hover disc under his feet and comes down. Kav jumps off the roof.
Kav asks about the elder phoenix and two people that we are looking for (Rasshak and Tamako) but he avoids names. Gwyneira knows exactly what they are talking about and tells them that the two left, and Casper adds that they went North-east. We know that Tamako’s castle is in the Kingdom of Ecse near Bisza and Hajdured. Gwyneira realizes that with the way she was able to suck up the shadow magic from the pillar, if the Hex is after the pillars and is able to do that, they will become extremely powerful and dangerous. She shares this with the group as it is important and we all realize that we should put a stop to this. Casper doesn’t know who the Hex is, so Gwyneira explains. Casper, from his father’s intelligence, knew about the sites of power that serve as a backbone to the goddess Sypet’s power, which is a strong backing force to the military might and overall well being of the country. He also came across that seven months ago, that the Lord Azazel was dispatched to Sypetia in order to find and destroy the sites of power to weaken Sypetia.
Gwyneira and Casper are convinced by Kav and Mist to climb into the bag of holding while Mist and Kav teleport to Sypet. We teleport to the city of Sypet, arriving in front of an inn. Kav opens the bag and lets Gwyneira and Casper out.
