(A quick note here, I've added these synopsis for people to go back and remind themselves about what happened or if people come in later and don't want to start at the beginning, they can read these really fast, but they are not a replacement for watching our videos as they are not full descriptions. If you don't want to video, you will miss most of the comedy and all of the fighting as I am not going to do a play by play of each attack. So, please check out our videos)
Day 8 1/17/2024
Episode 11
Boliton
We head out and go to the next tavern. We talk to the bartender on duty who says Kristibon comes by once or twice a day, collects his money, and moves on. The money is to make sure they have any trash on their doorstep, ruffians, hoodlums, gutter rats. He doesn’t know what Krisitbon does with them but he doesn’t care. On to the next, we bring up Kristibon and she turns away and ignores us. Gwyneira puts down some silver on the table, she looks interested but she stays looking away, so she puts down more. Kav comes in and throws gold down. She just stares at the money, and Casper gets in her line of sight. We are able to convince her to talk to us in another room. Kav stays to make sure the patrons don’t leave. She says he’s a big scary worgen and she didn’t used to have windows but she got behind on a payment. The entire back wall is new, she’s had to replace all the tables four times. She’s still trying to pay off five shipments of the beer. He does kill people, but not inside.
In the tavern area, Kav sees a shade elf who is acting suspicious. He talks to him and the man doesn’t want to talk. So Kav uses his sword to skewer his hand to the table. We come out and see what is happening and try to get this guy to give us the information. He doesn’t and as Kav questions him, he sees his hand doing something under the table, and goes to cut off his hand. He is able to do so, swinging Sunbelle through the table as well. He rips his other hand out and dives for the window. Kav grabs hold tight on his wrist as Gwyneira knocks him hard on the chin. Kav picks him up and puts him over his shoulder, grabs Moonfang from the table, and walks out. The guy is flailing a little bit, but can’t do more than that. The group follows him out.
Casper has Kav stop and Casper hits him hard, dazing him. Mist tells him to talk and he says he’s just an informer. He goes places, drinks for free, and makes sure that they adhere to Kristibon’s rules. His rules are 1) Don’t blab, 2) Don’t cause a ruckus, 3) he doesn’t remember three, and we lost his train of thought. He wants to know why we want to know. Kav puts the guy down gently and politely gives him some ale to drink. We tell the guy that Kristibon is killing people at night, and he is completely unhinged but not insane. He has a system to who he kills. Gwyneira staunches the bleeding. Gwyneira opens the gate to the School of Shadows and Kav takes him through. He sees the School of Shadows and asks if we’re a part of the League of Assassins, and starts calling himself an idiot. He’s mad at himself because he insulted the League of Assassins and Kav tells him that his penance is that he now works for him. He wants to know if Kav has talked to Jinny yet, who works at the harbor. His name is Mikail. We make sure he is picked up and close the portal before heading to the docks.
At the docks, we quickly find Jinny. We’re directed to a stall with a tiefling running it. We do recognize her and she recognizes us. She waves, closes up the stall, and she heads into an alleyway and we follow her. She says Ollie reports to her. She hasn’t been able to find any traces of The Hex here. Her network doesn’t stretch too far. Her network in town has about 100 people in it. She offers to let us stay at her house, so we go. We head to the second from the center ring, nice mansions, and she takes us to her fine mansion.Through his bird, Kav can see that Kristibon is sitting on the steps of a house in the middle ring, so Kav sends Snarf to look for Ollie. The house is sparsely furnished but very nice. We get some food, discuss plans, and we talk about how to fight on the streets. We don’t know for sure how Kristibon fights since he tends to kill people if they’ve seen him kill. She’s been able to determine that he is ancient for a worgen and should’ve been dead long ago. He’s at least over 200. He was a soldier in the Sypetian military for a dozen years as part of the elite unit. He’s been the sole survivor of countless squads and doesn’t seem to die. We realize there may be a reason Kristibon asked us to come after dark and decide to go after him during the day.
We head down to do some scouting while Jinny starts getting the streets clear. Snarf does some minor scouting as well. There are roofs every thirty feet or so with these being residential. We could set up on roof’s and maybe two houses down. Mist stealthily goes across the rooftops to do some scouting. Mist comes back and tells them what he sees, and everyone goes to get in place. Kav walks down the street, rounds the last curve, and Kristibon stands up and pops his shoulders and looks at Kav. He knew we were coming. We all get into place. Kristibon rests his hands on his hips bags and Kav rests his hand on Moonfang. He also summons Sunbelle. He sprints, and teleports right behind Kristibon.
