Welcome to our new campaign, the Wrath of Sypetia. Here we have Jaimie, Nick, and Zac playing a high level campaign with Nate as the GM. This is a Runner's Fortune game we are playing, a TTRPG system created by Nate and Jaimie.
This campaign is a continuation of The Pillars of Sypetia campaign, so feel free to check that out on our YouTube channel, link at the bottom, as well as our Apex Adventurers campaign that Mist and Kav are originally from. Link is also at the bottom.
(A quick note here, I've added these synopsis for people to go back and remind themselves about what happened or if people come in later and don't want to start at the beginning, they can read these really fast, but they are not a replacement for watching our videos as they are not full descriptions. If you don't want to video, you will miss most of the comedy and all of the fighting as I am not going to do a play by play of each attack. So, please check out our videos)

The Shadow School
Kav and Mist are at the School of Shadows, with Mist giving a speech to the League of Assassins about finding the sites of power, especially the ones that the Hex has taken over so we can take them back. As far as we are aware, there are 10 sites of power. The Hex currently has control of two, and there are five locations marked on a map that we currently know about. We have about 50 people in the League of Assassins, which Mist and Kav are the leaders of, but there are only 12 in the room. As Mist gives the speech, Kav goes to find Voorhiz. Voorhiz tells Kav that she will stick around in order to help us find the sites of power. Kav licks her cheek and tries to leave, but Voorhiz grabs him and kisses him back before she throws him out of the room. Kav heads back to where Mist is giving the speech. He arrives just as it’s ending. Kav and Mist planar shift to get to an island in the Sypetian sea, and fly through the air above it. That’s the closest we could get since that was where the island was that Kav came to last time. Mist pulls out his hover disc while Kav lets himself free fall. Seeing a hole in the middle of the longhouse, Kav aims to land inside.
Isle of Zerutan
Casper has been on the island for the last 6 months, having been displaced by the death cloud of red smoke on the mainland.
Gwyneira, Felix, Xander, and Hazel are in the underground city after just having killed the shadow creature. We stand in front of the golden anvil. Gwyneira feels a power emanating from it, and it calls to her. She reaches out and touches the golden anvil. The world goes dark and she falls to the ground. The anvil glows a bright red as Felix runs forward to help. It’s blindingly bright. Gwyneira’s head tilts back and her arms go wide. Out of her bursts a pillar of darkness and it pierces straight through the rock above. Casper notices the island start to shake, and then he sees the pillar of darkness shoot out of the ground. He runs into his house to grab his rifle and runs toward the pillar.
Mist and Kav, falling through the air, see this pillar shooting upwards. It’s rising up to meet them. As this pillar rockets up, Mist and Kav collide with it. It rises up to 500 ft and stays there, though Mist and Kav are inside this pillar now as they fall. Kav tries to touch it but his hand goes right through. Kav and Mist decide to get out of this pillar of darkness before they hit the ground. Casper is sprinting as fast as he can to get there. Felix, Xander, and Hazel are all thrown backwards by a shockwave as the pillar explodes out of Gwyneira. Felix tries to run over to the pillar and attempts to tackle Gwyneira from the pose she’s in, but he’s met by an invisible wall. Felix backs up and throws the staff of Fangar at the wall, where it hovers for a moment before it is then ejected. Felix calms himself and touches the wall before drawing an outline of the wall with his foot. It’s a 5ft circle around her. Felix turns to look toward Hazel to ask about it, but she’s gone. Felix runs to grab his staff before leaving. Xander runs with Felix. The two book it away.
For Gwyneira, everything is dark and she can’t feel anything. She “hears” a voice, though she can’t actually hear anything. She gets this message that she has found a source of power for the goddess Sypet and she is given four options. 1) Return it to Sypet with whatever that might bring, 2) sever it from Sypet and destroy the site of power (favorable connotations), 3) her, a being that is capable, take a bit of the power for herself, and then ground the site leaving it open for others (this feels good, but also a little wary about what others might be able to use it) or, 4) absorb all the power for herself to do as she will (and this is also favorable). Gwyneira realizes that she has a ticking clock and her body is falling apart from the force of the dark magic. She picks option 4.
Kav and Mist are now about 50 ft from the ground, and Casper is 50 ft from the pillar. They all see the pillar shoot back down through the hole. Kav and Mist decide to follow the pillar through the hole, and deciding to do the same, Casper dives in. Kav and Mist see this black shaped roped something dive beautifully straight into the hole, seconds before Kav gets there himself. Kav enters next, then Mist comes along, calmly cruising on in. Gwyneira gets her sight back. She is on her knees, breathless, but is back to herself and she is now much more powerful.
As Mist, Kav, and Casper all fall into this hole, we see this ancient city as well as a picture of Vulkus on a monolith. Glancing to the side, they see a few beings sprinting away. Below them, they see a woman, blue hair, on her knees with her arms out next to what used to be an anvil that is now split in half. Kav and Mist recognize Gwyneira. Casper recognizes her as someone that was making a commotion in town. Casper drops about 10 ft away from Gwyn and holsters his gun, turning to see if he can assist. Kav turns into his bigger wolf form, becoming more intimidating, and moves to protect Gwyneira. Casper sees a 14 ½ tall wolf land in between him and the woman, wielding a large battle ax and a large sword, staring down at him. Casper teleports backwards and raises his hands, claiming to be a friend. Mist sees this happen and just goes to land next to Gwyneira. Mist helps Gwyneira up and then looks at Casper. Casper says he’s friendly and calls Kav fluffy. Kav roars at Casper who then turns him fluffy using his magic. Mist tells Kav that he thinks Casper is a friend. Kav puts his weapons away, and then goes back to normal, and Casper drops the fluff.
Kav picks Gwyneira up and starts heading to get her out from the underground city, but then comes to the pool of water. He sees this and turns around to go back to the other room, where he sets her down. As Gwyneira is conscious and moving around now, Kav flies out, Casper follows behind, and Mist and Gwyneira follow after. Kav gets to the ground and walks to the village that he saw from the sky, but first decides to grab some food. Mist and Gwyneira follow along.
We all head back, other than Kav. We make it to the village in time to see Felix and Xander there, entering the longhouse. Felix greets Casper. They talk. Felix goes back into the longhouse, and sits at the table upstairs, and relaxes. Kav has made his way back. Xander heads off as well. Gwyneira finds a nice area to sit down and Mist joins her. Kav gives Mist and Gwyneira a board with cheese, some bread, moldy raisins, a beef jerky, and a bottle of warm wine. Then, he and Casper head to the tavern.
