(A quick note here, I've added these synopsis for people to go back and remind themselves about what happened or if people come in later and don't want to start at the beginning, they can read these really fast, but they are not a replacement for watching our videos as they are not full descriptions. If you don't want to video, you will miss most of the comedy and all of the fighting as I am not going to do a play by play of each attack. So, please check out our videos)

When we come back through, Chodrak has gone missing. We talked about what to do next. We talk about going to Aranel for spells to put in the three slots of the staff Rayvvin has. One, some kind of silencing (not using magic) spell. Two, some kind of max opening/unlocking. Three, a teleportation type of spell. We go back to the library to take the book we borrowed for Koda back and ask about Allip’s while we’re there. Abcde puts the book back for the librarian. We leave the library and head back to Aranel’s office. Her office door is closed. Abcde knocks on the door. There’s no answer, so Rayvvin enters the room. The first thing we notice is the office is demolished, torn apart, and it’s in shambles. Koda and Rayvvin enter the room. Rayvvin looks out the window. It’s too high up to see anything. Upon looking around the room, we find nothing. Abcde hears someone heading our way, lets us know they’re coming and goes to meet them. It’s a male human, who says he doesn’t work there. He says he’s there to clean an office. He says Lady Aranel sent him to clean her office. Abcde asks to check his paperwork and they find that her signature seems forged as it has “lady” in the front which she never does, and the A is upper case when she normally did it lower case. Abcde leads this guy back to the office where Koda and Rayvvin are hiding. Koda is able to hide, but Rayvvin is breathing heavily. They come in and Abcde says to grab him, so Koda does. We interrogate him. He does seem to be being quite honest when he says he was just hired for this job. Koda stops dragging him to the window, eats some garlic, and licks this guy’s hair so he smells like garlic. Koda puts him down and his legs fall out from under him. Rayvvin goes over to help calm him down, and Abcde goes to talk to someone about Aranel. He doesn’t seem to believe that we aren’t at fault, but Abcde shows him that paper and the guy knows it isn’t hers but doesn’t know if he believes it isn’t us. Abcde tells him to cast a truth spell or a mind probe, and the man goes to touch him and Abcde panics and tells him about the Allip. He casts a truth spell and asks about the Allip and Abcde just starts spilling their guts. He does end up believing Abcde, and when Abcde asks about a communication spell with her, he says yes and is worried because he has been trying already and she isn’t answering.
We leave and get back to the nearest teleportation circle where the guy leads us to the janitor’s closet. His boss is there and he leads us to his boss. A large goliath sitting in one of the chairs, and is the boss and wants to know what is going on. Koda sits at the human guys' chairs and puts his feet up on the desk. The goliath, Franklin, tries to use magic to move Koda’s feet, but it doesn’t work. He tells us he got a message from Lady Aranel to clean her office and magically sent a paper. He got it back with the fake signature. He does end up getting a paper and bringing it out, a work order from Lady Aranel. The signature is different from the one on the work order. We take both work orders and leave. As we leave, the human guy is on the floor, cowering. When Koda and Rayvvin pat him and he flinches away. Rayvvin gets rid of his fear and he does a little better. We leave. Koda gives his disguise hat so they won’t get recognized. Koda puts it back on and changes into a person that just walked past.
We teleport back to the gnome’s office, and he’s not there. We head back to Aranel’s office.
As we get up there, we see the gnome and also about 20 faculty, 40 guards, and the headmaster. Abcde says hi, and guards surround us. The gnome says to let us through. We head forward and look into the office where we notice something we hadn’t before, droplets of blood on the floor. It’s orange. Abcde knows that this is changeling blood. As Abcde follows it, they see a bit of it on the broken glass pane, where someone was likely pushed out. They also notice that they don’t see Lady Talwen. Abcde tells them we have the paperwork, one from allegedly Lady Aranel, but also the one that is actually from her. The gnome takes the papers. They do say that Lady Aranel was here when the person broke in so they don’t think we can do anything about it. The headmaster snaps his fingers and makes the past replay. A valkyrie was the one who broke it. She does shapechange many times. And we do see Aranel go down. Abcde does see a small little box that they’ve seen before hanging from the hip of the other being. This being grabs Aranel and jumps out of the window. It returns to its current state. We leave.
We get food and then wait until nighttime for the magical items swap meet. There’s about 150 people here with people demonstrating their items. They seem to be not the best items. Rayvvin sells tattoos. Koda tries to pickpocket but fails all but one. Instead, Koda becomes a distraction while Abcde tries to pickpocket. Koda gets 20 gold from his one success, Rayvvin makes 11 from tattoos, and Abcde gets 32. We arrive in the under city and spent 3 copper for a nice room. Rayvvin uses the staff of many feasts. Then we head to bed. We wake up the next morning.
We got to Davork to get the enchantments for the three boring staffs. One staff is holy, one staff is furyborn, one staff is quenching. We head back to the tavern and chat. Abcde pulls out their mirror and calls out to Brixert. He shows up in the mirror. Brixert tells us that Caleigh is getting more information and Chodrak is doing soul searching. Abcde asks Brixert if he knows anything about Aranel getting kidnapped. He tells us she’s not okay. Brixert tells us this person Aranel faced was the one who had Abcde steal Aranel’s book and kept them captive. Brixert gives us twenty gold each and says he’ll give us more if we check in more often. We sign off. Someone tries to steal Abcde’s bag of money. Abcde stops him and then gives him one gold and the guy runs off.
We go to the library again with the same librarian there. Koda goes down an aisle and tries to find the forbidden section. He takes a few steps and smacks into a wall. As he looks up, it says, “Forbidden section: no entry without pass.” Koda rips the sign off the wall and brings it back to Abcde. When Koda tries to figure out where to go to put the sign back, and can’t figure it out, Rayvvin and Abcde immediately find it. Rayvvin leans the sign against the wall and Koda takes it. We see a door just a ways down that leads to the forbidden section. All the aisles lead to the forbidden section. We arrive at the door and we open it. We step in. Everything in here is alphabetized. Rayvvin and Abcde find one book in the Allip area. Abcde grabs it, it’s called, “The Journal of the Miserable.” We open the book and find it’s a journal. Rayvvin doesn’t think it’s a language that exists anymore. As we flip through it, we notice it reaches about month 7 and the script and the way it’s written start to change. The further we go, the more illegible it is. Somewhere in the ninth month it just repeats. We notice a very small book, something we almost missed, only a few sheets of paper. Rayvvin grabs it. This one is in common. This one is titled, “An Exhaustive and Extensive Study into Delaying the Allip Disease.” The first piece is blank. The second says, “We may be screwed.” The third is full of random strings of letters just thrown onto the page. Fourth page says research has passed the last person, the last was terminated. The fifth says, I may be screwed. The sixth is illegible words. The seventh says study has passed to the final person, attempt three. The next page, “I’ve now been alive for 74 years. I have still not solved my Allip riddle. I have still been alive for 74 years. I have not stepped foot on the material plane for the past 74 years. When I return, Brixert is gonna owe me. The Library of Taba cannot be found. This will be my last entry. I’m sure as I step back onto the material realm, my mind will be gone and I will turn into an Allip, one of an even dozen that are under Brixert’s control. Get off the material realm. I’ve lived a full life mostly in the Fae Wild. Be careful. Goodbye.”
Koda arrives in the K section and finds a book on “The Four Primalis and Where to Find Them.” Koda takes it. Koda opens it to the middle and it talks about a lady in the north. Koda lumbers back to us. Koda pulls the sign out of the bag of holding and runs back and puts it in the location of the book he took. We try to sneak out of the restricted section. We slip out and Koda takes 78 points of arcane damage.
We leave the library. We hang around until evening and head back to the north commons. The door is closed and there is a bouncer out front. He wants us to show items, Rayvvin shows their three staffs, and we head in.

Unfortunately, we had to take a pause on The Library of Taba. With losing all of our players other than Jaimie and Pocho, we decided to give a little bit of time to see if we would have any chance of letting Emily and Elijah get to a better place in life and be able to play with us again. We will talk in a few months and revisit whether or not it's worth continuing to play and we will let you know what's going on when we do. Until then, we are starting up two new campaigns, the Ripped From the World campaign as well as The Wrath of Sypetia, a continuation of The Pillars of Sypetia campaign that will be going up on YouTube, so check those out on our channel.
