(A quick note here, I've added these synopsis for people to go back and remind themselves about what happened or if people come in later and don't want to start at the beginning, they can read these really fast, but they are not a replacement for watching our videos as they are not full descriptions. If you don't want to video, you will miss most of the comedy and all of the fighting as I am not going to do a play by play of each attack. So, please check out our videos)

In the Esoteric Fortress
Sterling had gone back to the room and study the journals but the rest of us stand in the hallway. Abcde starts running after the lirasa, trying to catch up as quickly as possible. Artimious takes off as well. Rayvvin and Everlee run as well, but not as fast as possible. Caleigh takes off and Chodrak jumps onto her back. Abcde rounds the end of the hallway, and the lirasa glances over her shoulder, making a quick hand motion, and she conjures up a pillar of flame. Abcde stops her attack, and Artimious tries to assist. Abcde continues forward. Caleigh and Chodrak round the corner just behind the first two. They miss the lirasa conjuring the pillar of fire, and see Artimious shot at her and Abcde put up their arcane shield. Chodrak tries to immobilize her, but it fails. He tries again, and fails again, though she does stumble a bit. Rayvvin dashes too, and reaches the end, stumbling as they round the corner. The lirasa pours on the speed and rounds the next corner. Abcde is just barely able to get down and around the corner to see her, where she is attempting to conjure another pillar of fire. Abcde calls out, “freeze!” Mid casting, she stops, and starts to shift forms. Only Abcde sees her change. She is no longer a lirasa, but a tiefling instead. Abcde knows what this is as they have to do this every day. They believe her to be a changeling.
Artimious rounds the corner, confused at where she went. Abcde tells him to fire, so Artimious just does it, and he hits, decreasing her shield some. Caleigh is dash/flying to catch up, and asks Abcde what to do. Caleigh flies around the corner, cruising nicely. Abcde tells her to get the tiefling. Caleigh flies up to the tiefling and she tries to hit her, and succeeds. Chodrak slides off Caleigh’s back as she is attacking, and lands a flying knee drop, breaking through the tiefling’s shield. Rayvvin rounds the corner, seeing Caleigh and Chodrak attacking a random tiefling. Everlee rounds the corner as well, but screams and falls to the ground. The tiefling is released from Abcde’s command, and tries to use blink. Abcde tries to counter but fails. She pulls up her arcane shield again and teleports. She reappears thirty feet down the hall, and turns to keep running. Abcde keeps after the tiefling, attacking twice. As they hit the shield, it grows stronger. Abcde looks at Chodrak, and uses an ability on him. Artimious takes off as well after the tiefling. He casts a spell and hits her with force damage several times. He runs forward. Chodrak crouches down and lunges forward toward the tiefling, and hits. Her shield flickers but is still just barely up. Her shield grows stronger but she stays in place. He attacks again, and her shield flickers but barely stays up. Caleigh asks Abcde what she should do, he tells her not quite to kill, but can get close. Caleigh enters a rage and attacks. The tiefling’s shield shatters and she’s knocked prone. Rayvvin checks on Everlee, never having seen this before. They have heard of this, recognizing it as a seizure, though they don’t know what caused it. Rayvvin finds that it was not magical in nature, but from Everlee herself, and takes care of her, no longer participating in the chase.
The tiefling teleports twice down the hallway, to get around the corner. Abcde dashes forward to get around the corner, just in time to see her teleport a third time, and they don’t see her anymore. What they do see about 40ft away is a large double door, about 30 ft tall. The corridor is probably about thirty to forty feet wide. The door is made of stone and intricately carved, with a glowing picture of a tree in bloom. It’s a beautiful and magical door. They can guess that she likely teleported to the other side. Abcde gets to the door and pulls on the handles. They silently and effortlessly swing outward past Abcde, who is looking into an enormous room, 150 ft tall, 300 feet wide, a perfect circle with an arching dome above it. The floor is entirely black other than a dark blue carpet that is laid out in and amongst magical circles. They have seen these circles many many many times. They are teleportation circles of varying sizes and at the quick glance, each one is different and leads to a different place. Also, Abcde can tell that most of these are inert and would require a strong repowering of them for them to be able to be used at all. They see about half a dozen that are not inert. Up at the far side, on a slightly raised dais, there is one that is notably larger than the others and there is a sign above that one, and the words at first don’t look like words, but symbols. But, in that moment, the meaning of those comes to their head. It says, “The Library.”
As they take this in, they see the tiefling laying on a magical circle that is not inert. They command her to sleep, and as she starts to nod off to sleep, she changes, now a tall elf with flowing hair. Her clothes change too. Abcde recognizes these clothes as being from a year in their life. Now that they see, they know that she is not who they are thinking of, but they do recognize her from passing glances. She does look like she is falling asleep.
Artimious runs forward and stumbles, almost crashing into the wall. He is in the hallway outside the room. Chodrak sprints to try to make it to the room. He stumbles and almost loses his footing as his hand touches the ground. He can only see into the room past Artimious. Caleigh continues forward and gets right next to Artimious. Now that they are all slowing, Caleigh feels the presence from Atae is coming from the elf on the ground. Caleigh halts and tells the group not to kill her. Caleigh tries to remember this elf and if she knows anything. She doesn’t recognize her at all. She doesn’t recognize the robes. But, she knows that Atae is the goddess of trickery and that she is the patron deity of changelings. She did meet a changeling that gave off this same vibe that she feels at this point, and she remembers this interaction less fondly. The last time she encountered this person, they attempted to kill her at the behest of their deity out of what Caleigh believes to be jealousy from that deity against her. They held the position (half of it) that Caleigh is trying for.
Everlee’s body slowly stops seizing, but she is now laying limp and unconscious. She seems to be in otherwise perfect health, but has fainted. Rayvvin lifts her onto the back of her wolf and the wolf assists in carrying Everlee. Rayvvin and the wolves run down the hallway and round the corner to see what is going on.
As the elf is falling asleep, she uses her master of the mind and nimble reactor and she’s going to try to counterspell the sleep command. Abcde feels her reach out with her magic to be able to try to stave off the sleepiness to do something. She succeeds and her eyes close as the circle around her flashes bright blue and she’s gone.
Abcde focuses on the circle, trying to figure out where this one is going. We all move into the room as Abcde kneels next to the circle. Caleigh does the same thing. Rayvvin gets Everelee to the ground and gets her comfortable. Chodrak goes to check on Everlee, as does Artimious, finding that she is unconscious. We sit down and rest as Caleigh and Abcde study the circle. They can tell that this circle does leave Taba and are able to determine one crucial rune. It was on almost every teleportation circle that they saw for that one year, in Omadano. When they finish, Abcde gathers their thoughts, and gets up and tells us that it leads to a place with a powerful university, Omadano. They ask if anyone recognized her. Caleigh looks up, almost crazed. She asks Abcde if they know her. They reply that they know two of her forms, the lirasa and the elf. Caleigh tries to intimidate the information out of Abcde, and they stare her back down. Abcde wants to know how she knows this person. Caleigh only knows the one. She gets up and pretends to swing her battle ax, but just flies down the hallway and leaves. We stare after her.
