Another mini for the enjoyment of my followers, this is a player from our Thursday campaign. Say hello to Caleigh, a Valkyrie Barbarian. She is one of our front liner tanks who rushes into battle and intimidates others. She loves to quickly unfurl her wings to make herself more intimidating, which she says she "wants to bamf out her wings" whenever she does so. Caleigh from the front, you can see that though she does have white for her eyes, she doesn't have pupils or eyebrows. I was in the process of attempting to learn how to paint facial features and wasn't confident enough to finish them.
This mini came with transparent wings and Emmy decided she liked how it looks. Nate and I decided we were happy to leave them transparent as long as they were visible on camera, and they can be seen well enough, so all I did was wash them with a bit of darker color to make the feathers stand out.
You can really see the details on the feathers from this angle. I do like the transparency as I think it makes the wings look more ethereal and gives her an air of mystery.
The only downside to not painting the wings, which you can see here, is that the bottom side of the hair isn't able to be painted as it lies up against the wing, and so if you look for it, you can see the white of the unpainted mini. This mini figure was pretty easy to paint overall with not having a lot of smaller details and having it be mostly the same colors, but I did enjoy the process. I hope you like the outcome.
