A Mini for You: Tiefling Rogue

As a said, to make up for forgetting to post a new mini for a while, here is another one that I painted back in March, just for your viewing pleasure. This is one I painted in a set of three, that my husband asked me to paint before our campaign began. We had a one shot with our Wednesday group with random characters in order to help people gets used to the style difference between D&D and Runner's Fortune. This is the only the only mini that isn't being used for any of the characters in our current campaigns, but I still like it anyway.

I did want to mention really quick here that a lot of these mini's I'm painting are ten years or more older (some of them are from 2008). Nate has had them for a while, but isn't skilled enough with paint to put color on them. He may be creative, but things like drawing and painting aren't his strong suit, so I took the responsibility to make them colorful and not naked anymore (what I call the white or gray basic mini). But the details on some of these older ones aren't as good or are a bit clunky because of it. I just wanted to give some background as we move forward, so without further ado, here is the mini.

This character is a female Tiefling. She would likely be a rogue or some type of fighter. I decided that since her skin is such a bright color, the rest of her outfit should be a bit more of a lowkey color. The red of her skin is enough color as it is. You might be able to tell a little bit that I attempted to paint the eyes, but they aren't that obvious and I didn't really do a good job since I wasn't that good at small details yet.

This mini was fun because it was one of the first ones that I really started to notice the details on it as I painted it that I hadn't noticed before. Like her hairstyle for instance. I hadn't realized that she had the straight bangs and the bun until I gave more attention to it. And the belt that has a little section for her tail to poke out? Yeah, I hadn't noticed that either. I think it's really fun to paint these minis and find new details in them. What do you think of this mini? Do you like how it came out?
