Before I get into the synopsis, I just wanted to say that this is a very basic synopsis and if you want to get the humor you need to watch the video as well as any details of the fights. I will not be going into detail on the fights as it's a bit of a pain and not worth it for me and not necessary for the synopsis, so make sure you watch the videos on our YouTube channel, Neko-Maoh Games, to fully appreciate everything that happens.
Day 3 6/2/2022
In the Mansion
We go to the dining room and eat lunch to prepare a game plan. Sterling doesn’t want his food because he doesn’t eat, and gives it to one of the slaves to eat, but he says he can’t eat it until it’s cold, so Abcde chills it and heats it back up again for the slave. We try to figure out where to go next. Rayvvin goes to the kitchen and starts loading food into their bag. Artimious and Caleigh are grabbing candlesticks and the like. Sterling says he’s bored and goes the slave quarters to ask if they want to play hide and seek. Those that do look at Sterling, appear confused. Sterling asks for games, and the man says that there are a few rooms that the master has fun in, and takes Sterling to them when he asks. There are two rooms, and Sterling starts with the one on the left.
Caleigh loads up her bag with candlesticks and a blanket. The blankets are huge, so she realizes she can only take one. She lays down the blanket and sticks fourteen candlesticks. Rayvvin fills up their bag with food and goes back to the dining room, and Caleigh goes to the foyer and says, “I’m ready.” Rayvvin does too, Abcde grabs plates from the table stacking them on their arms. They get four plates. Everlee isn’t sure what to do. We go to leave, and Caleigh notices that Sterling is missing, so she calls out for him. Sterling is still waiting. Rayvvin uses thaumaturgy to call out to Sterling, and the door he is standing in front of finally gets opened.
The room is dark, the colors all dark colors, though the room is lit. In the center of the room is a white shape that looks to have been drawn. The light source is candles, and Sterling realizes that there aren’t light sources anywhere else in the mansion. The white shape begins to glow. It’s mildly ominous. Sterling asks the slave about it, and he says it’s a magical circle, but he doesn’t know what it does. When Brixert goes in, and goes back out he is a much happier man. Sterling walks to the circle, and it gets increasingly brighter. Colors begin to swirl and images take form. It’s of a smaller building with a water wheel. A strange looking yellow contraption is outside of it (a car). Sterling reaches out to touch the circle. His finger goes to make contact with it and passes through, and he can now see his finger in the image. He pulls his finger out, excited. He goes back to the slave and asks about the other room. As he walks away, the light dims and finally disappears. Sterling wants to know what’s in the other room.
Sterling goes back downstairs. He can’t see us as he enters the dining room, but he finds us in the foyer. He says he has to tell his friend he’s leaving. Caleigh comes back in, and we all decide to go upstairs to see what Sterling found. The slave is trying to open the door with a lockpick, but only half of us know. We follow Sterling into the room with the circle. Chodrak knows it’s a magic circle but isn’t sure of its purpose. Abcde has seen this kind of thing before. They know it’s a teleportation circle and their head starts buzzing as they enter the room because of the magic. It’s radiant magical energy, and it’s quite powerful. As Abcde steps in the room, the candles glow brighter and the light becomes large. As Abcde wonders about someone that might understand this, the image changes to the swamp where Abcde stayed as a child. Abcde realizes that this portal could also teleport you through time and space. In the circle, we see a young child with orange skin, we don’t know it but it’s young Abcde. The image changes back when Abcde thinks about changing it. Chodrak is curious about it, but it doesn’t change from his thoughts. Caleigh decides to try and thinks back to a happy memory from her childhood and it appears in the portal. She looks at it very happily.
Sterling, bored, turns around to check on his buddy, but sees Allerton in front of the door. Sterling greets him and Chodrak drops to babydoll form. Allerton asks what we’re doing. Sterling says he’s looking for games. Allerton wants to know why the slave is breaking into the room. The slave looks to be on his knees slumped against the door. Allerton takes a further step into the room and the portal closes. He wants to know what we saw. We feel a slight pressure at our temples, but nothing happens and it rescinds. Chodrak is no longer in babydoll form. Abcde slowly backs up, avoiding the portal, until they reach the wall. There is a curtain over the wall, covering an unlocked window. Artimious moves in front of Everlee and Chodrak, hands above his swords. Sterling tries to leave, trying to go past Allerton. He takes one step, and when he tries to step again, his foot stops, and he feels fear. We are confused. Allerton says he took care of the one breaking in, and killed the slave. We fight Allerton. Everlee gets the kill. Allerton is dead and we do some healing. Rayvvin checks on the slave and he is very dead.
Chodrak tries to recall how he knows how to lockpick using the portal. He sees an elf pull out a lockpick and open a door and hover through. Next, an older elf city in a cell. A guard walks past, and the elf pulls a lockpick from his mouth and opens the door. Walks up to the guard and attacks, the guard slumping, and the scene closes. Chodrak goes to find the lockpick and goes to lockpick the door, and Sterling who is angry, pulls out his crowbar. Chodrak reaches up and clicks the lock open as Sterling jams his crowbar in, ripping at the door, pulling it open. Inside is a sex dungeon. Sterling passes and the group teases him about getting into the swing. Abcde gives 20 silver that he took from Allerton to Artimious to give to whoever might need it. Chodrak and Sterling want to go into Brixert’s room and Rayvvin and Abcde try to figure out if the portal would close if the person who opened it died. Sterling and Chodrak go over to Brixert’s room, attempting to get it, but Sterling isn’t able to pry open the door, and Chodrak tries to pick the lock but it doesn’t feel like the inside of a keyhole as it doesn’t have tumblers. They are unable to break in.
Rayvvin and Abcde decide that the portal would not become inactive if the person who opened it died since the circle contains the spell. If it was damaged, it would close and only the person who opened it could fix it. Sterling wonders how to open the door to Brixert’s room if it’s magically closed, walks into the room with the portal, trying to think if he knows anyone who would do that. That portal flares to life, and as he’s thinking about who might be able to open this, it opens to numerous people who could open the door, flashing through the people, and ends on Brixert who is waddling up the stairs, to the mansion. He throws the door open and calls out to us.
